Thank you for your interest in EFLA's Summer Learning & Leadership Academy. Our 8-week program was specially designed for high school students (including graduating 8th graders who will be in high school in the fall.)

Through EFLA's fun, project-based model, students combine academics with entrepreneurship while developing the leadership skills demanded by the nation's top colleges and universities. Students learn hands-on how to develop a business plan and marketable product using Black history as a theme, in addition to participating in weekly outings and skills-building workshops.
Make New Friends! Meet, bond, and network with other bright students in your area while honing your leadership skills in preparation for college.
Study Black History From The Beginning: Students complete Unit 1 of EFLA's Standing on the Shoulders of Giants Black history curriculum, which studies Black history from the origins of humanity in Africa to the end of the Ancient Kemetic/Egyptian Empire.
