Where Black
History Lives!

Intro Unit: Class 1 - African History: The Missing Pages of World History

This opening class begins with an essay and documentary by renowned historian Dr. John Henrique Clarke on why studying African history is not only important, but essential to the positive development of Black people. It provides an accurate timeline of world history, and incontrovertible evidence that Africa is not only the birthplace of humanity, but also the cradle of civilization. It dispels the myth that Africa had no history or accomplishments prior to European contact and in fact demonstrates that Africa was light of the world in antiquity, and that Black Africans were progenitors of civilization.
