Live Classes!

Interested in us teaching a live class at your school or organization?

Live classes are a great way to bring Black history to life! Our Live Classes are taught by super passionate professors like me, who live and breathe Black history.

We will travel to your school or organization and teach any one class or Unit from our pioneering Standing on the Shoulders of Giants "Teach and Learn" Black history curriculum. Live Class Requirements

  • Live Classes are for students in the 5th grade and up.

  • Locations for Live Classes must have internet access.

  • ​There is a minimum of 15 students per class and maximum of 30 students per class.

  • Live Classes are taught between the hours of: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Monday - Friday, and Saturdays 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Live Class Format

  • Live Classes are a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 2 hours.

  • Students complete online homework assignment prior to the Live Class.

  • The Live Class is a two-part, college-style lecture/discussion format. 
Part 1. Class Quiz. The class begins with a class overview by the professor and a brief 15-20 minute quiz on the class homework assignment. The quiz can be "open book," or students can pair into teams or groups to promote cooperation.

Part 2. Quiz Answer & Discussion Session. Following the quiz, there is a participatory quiz answer session in which the professor calls on students for the answers to each question. This is followed up by a general question/comment/discussion session, which concludes the live class.

There is a 15 student minimum for live classes. Live classes are for students in 5th grade+. 

15-29 students                          $20 per student

30-59 students                          $15 per student

60+ students                              $12 per student

Multiple class discounts 

2-3 Live Classes          $2 discount per student

4-5 Live Classes          $3 discount per student

6+ Live Classes           $5 discount per student 

Prices include the cost of the online portion of the live class.

Cost of travel must be provided for all Live Classes outside of the Atlanta, GA area.
