EFLA's 2019 Summer Honors Leadership & Entrepreneurship Academy
Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in EFLA's Summer Honors Learning & Leadership Academy. Our program was specially designed for college-bound high school honors students with a 3.0 G.P.A. or above who are interested in leadershipbusiness, and Black history. In a relaxed, collegiate atmosphere, students will hone their skills in the areas aforementioned, while having fun in the process.

Through EFLA's dynamic, project-based learning model, students combine the study of Black history with the excitement of entrepreneurship. Over the course of 8-weeks, students will study the foundations of Black history through our pioneering Standing on the Shoulders of Giants Black history curriculum and develop a marketable product based on the curriculum, including a viable business plan that they will formally pitch to investors at a mock event!

EFLA's Summer Honors Academy also incorporates college prep, which includes tours of Spelman, Morehouse, Clark, and Georgia Tech, SAT prep and more. It also provides professional development, including a “Professional Day,” in which students come dressed in business attire, men learn how to tie neckties, and women and men learn proper business attire and dining etiquette through a formal luncheon.
