Slide Show: How the Ancient Egyptians Depicted Themselves!

This slide show presents images of the people of Kemet, who are now referred to as the ancient Egyptians, as they depicted themselves. You will see virtually all shades of black and brown skin tones. All of these images are from when ancient Egypt was ruled by Black Africans. Please note the dates! Virtutally every image you see in this slide show is before the ancient Greeks (the oldest Europeans) came out of their Dark Ages, which is around 900-850 B.C.

Ancient Egypt is generally recognized as the most advanced civilization ever known to humankind. So why isn't it studied in public schools? The answer lies within this slide show. The answer is because the ancient Egyptians were Black Africans, which destroys the theory of White Supremacy.

In order for racism to work, racist White historians had to omit from the record the entire foundation of world history. For thousands of years, from the beginning of history and throughout most of the ancient world,  Africa was the pioneer of knowledge and light of the world. The history of ancient Africa, the history of ancient Nubia, ancient Kemet/Egypt, and ancient Ethiopia are omitted from world history because they reflect Africa genius. In American public schools, world history begins with Western cilivilization, even though Europeans are the youngest members of the human race. By the time Europeans rose to world power, ancient Africa had already experienced three Golden Periods that comprised over 2,000 years of continuous rule.

If any other race or culture in the world could claim that they were the real descendants of the ancient Egyptians they would be teaching and preaching it everyday. The history of ancient Egypt is the foundation of African history. African history cannot be taught with including the history of the ancient people of Nubia and Kemet/Egypt. RE-LEARN.

Study Questions

  • Based on the slideshow and modern conceptions of race, what "race" would you consider the ancient Egyptians to be?

  • What distinguishing racial characteristics did you observe of the ancient Egyptians?

  • What skin color did the ancient Egyptians paint themselves? Was it more than one shade of black/brown?

  • How many of these images of the ancient Egyptians have you seen before viewing this slideshow?

King "Tut" As A Boy

This is a statue of Pharaoh Tutankhamen, "King Tut" found in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Although these images are widely known by experts, they are rarely shown or associated with him in popular culture. In fact, National Geographic did a television special in which the attempted to "reconstruct" what King Tut may have looked like - even though the statue above of him was found in his tomb!
